BATTLE CREEK (MI) - For the final time this season, the Marian University Ancilla Men's Basketball team laced them up, as they traveled to Kellogg Community College Tuesday night. Despite being down 20 points at the half, the Chargers continued to battle throughout the second period, cutting the lead to single digits at one point, before falling, 101-86.
Freshman guard Shawn Donaldson scored 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting, he was 3-for-6 from deep, plus he added 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Fellow Freshman guard Omari Evans also had a solid game, scoring 17 points, collecting 7 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists.
In fact, the Chargers placed 6 total players in double figures scoring, with Sophomore Kenneth Grant (13 points), Sophomore Landon Swift (12 points), Freshman A'Marien Page (12 points), and Sophomore Michael Johnson Jr. (11 points) being among them. Johnson also added 8 rebounds.
Once again, the entire Marian Ancilla community would like to give a big thanks to our entire team, but most especially the Sophomores, for their hard work and dedication to the program during their time as both students and basketball players. Good luck to you in your future endeavors!!
