Marian University Ancilla Women's Basketball player Aaliyah Keil, a 5-7 Sophomore guard, was named the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (aka MCCAA) Western Conference Player of the Week for her outstanding performance last Tuesday in a 65-42 win at Kellogg Community College.

The Highland High School grad was an impressive 8-for-12 from the field and 5-for-5 from the charity stripe, scoring 21 points. The 21 points were a career best, as were her 6 steals in the game. She changed the dynamic of a close game in the 3rd quarter, as she helped the Chargers stretch out their lead for the important conference victory.

Congratulations, Aaliyah, on this honor!! The entire Marian Ancilla community is happy for you and proud of you!! She joins fellow Sophomores Santana Eubanks and Annika Davis as Players of the Week this season.

Aaliyah and the entire women's basketball team will be in action TONIGHT, as they host Southwestern Michigan College in a win-or-go-home NJCAA opening round tournament game. Tip time is set for 5:30p at the LifePlex in Plymouth. Please come out and support these young ladies, if you are able!!
