The Marian University Ancilla Women's Volleyball team finished their season 12 days ago, as they played their final set of the Fall in Battle Creek, Michigan, at Kellogg Community College. On the year, the volleyball ladies finished with a 10-15 overall record, which was the most wins the program has seen in a single season in six years. In fact, over the previous five seasons, the program had only won a combined eight total matches, so this was a huge step in laying the foundation for the future.
With the ends of seasons come all-conference teams, and the Volleyball team was fortunate enough to have the Michigan Community College Athletic Association's other head coaches select four different Chargers for postseason awards. They are detailed below:
Alex Sutherlin, 5-6 Freshman, Covington (IN)
- 2nd Team MCCAA All-Western Conference
- MCCAA Western Conference All-Freshmen Team
Miranda Woodard, 5-10 Freshman, Indianapolis (IN)
- 2nd Team MCCAA All-Western Conference
Kaitlynn Kelderhouse, 5-5 Sophomore, Manhattan (IL)
- MCCAA Honorable Mention All-Western Conference
Adalynn Garza, 5-7 Freshman, Hammond (IN)
- MCCAA Honorable Mention All-Western Conference
Congratulations ladies on quite the list of accomplishments!! The entire Charger community is happy for you and proud of you!! We can't wait to see the team return to action next Fall!!
